REFUGE OF DREAMS READOPTION DINNER (REFUGIO DE LOS SUENOS) – SATURDAY, JANUARY 17
We invite you back to the Refugio Readoption Dinner on Saturday, January 17, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM returning to the St. John Paul II Center to learn more about the Refugio from a graduate of the Refugio de los Suenos and give you the opportunity to feed the children of the Refugio through adopting or readopting the poorest of the poor in Quito, Ecuador. We last held this informative and festive and tasty dinner in March of 2020!
If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,” but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (James 2:14–17)
We are also looking for volunteers to bring the delicious treats and entrees from Central and South America for this dinner…like fried plantains, chicken and rice, hornado, ceviche, or maybe even cuy (if you know, you know!). RSVP for the evening to Jennifer Strash in the parish office and use this link to sign up for the dish you are bringing!
