Upcoming Youth Ministry Event(s):

July 29th – August 2nd: Middle School Camp: Amazing Grace

Middle School Camp is a week-long day camp experience for middle school youth across the peninsula. The goal of the camp is to bring together middle school youth from area parishes to build community, grow in knowledge of the faith, and encounter Christ through prayer and sacrament. This high-energy camp is filled with fun games, service activities, small group discussions, time for prayer, and a trip to a water park. The Middle School Day Camp is open to all rising 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade youth for the 2018 – 19 school year. This year the camp will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish (100 Harpersville Rd). The cost of the camp is $125 if registered by May 31st (minus $35 if the participant has a water country season pass). This includes the camp fee, daily lunch, water park ticket, transportation, and camp T-Shirt. Please contact ballaman@stjoanofarcva.org for more information!

8th Grade Only:

July 21st – 26th: Youth & Young Adult Mission Trip!

Our parish is sponsoring a Mission Trip in Wise County, VA. Rising 8th-grade teens and up are encouraged to register for this mission experience. You will be given the opportunity to serve others, deepen your faith, and grow in community with other teens! We will be assisting households in Wise Country with projects such as minor repairs, ramps, decking, handicap bathroom remodel, painting, and so much more! Participants will also share in a retreat experience in the evenings. We are hoping to bring a great group to this powerful week of Christian service so please register early! All adults who are willing to serve as site coordinators, transportation, service crew, or just help out are encouraged to fill out an interest form after Mass or contact Brandon Allaman.
