Children’s Choir
Adult Choir

JAMM, the Music Ministry at St. Joan of Arc Church, is alive and well and burgeoning!  Wonderfully supported by our highly musical and talented pastor, Fr. Mike, JAMM is populated by many deeply committed and dedicated parishioners.  Their work enables worship in the way called for by the Second Vatican Council such that we “participate fully, consciously, and actively” in all our liturgies.

There are many opportunities to serve in Music Ministry at St. Joan of Arc.   The Children’s Choir Program includes two children’s choirs from the ages of four years old through eighth grade.  Leadership building, skills training in reading music, singing, being part of a team, and liturgical formation are all integrated into the program.  Youth are encouraged to join Praise and Worship on Wednesday evenings and/or participate at other liturgies either by singing or playing instruments.

In addition to the Children’s program, there are opportunities for adults to participate: a contemporary group of singers and instrumentalists; a traditional choir from which the women’s and men’s ensembles emanate; the Resurrection choir for funeral Masses, a cantor group, a brass group for special feasts.   Our beloved Catholic Church has a rich musical tradition from which to draw; it is our hope and prayer that through the work of JAMM we as a parish can experience the fruits of the power in pastoral music.

Perhaps you are being called to participate in music ministry.  If so, you might review the descriptions of the various groups and see where you and or your family might become involved.  After prayerful consideration, please complete the registration form or, better yet, pay us a visit after one of the Masses for a chat.  If you are unsure, please come and try out a group for a few weeks and see if God is calling you to serve.  Don’t miss the blessing – join us!
