Do not forget about Youth Group! Youth Ministry is engaging High School Students both socially and spiritually from 6:30-8:30 on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays and from 6:00-8:30 on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. These nights start with an Emmaus Dinner at 6:30pm.  Wednesday night meetings will begin with an Emmaus dinner at 6:00 and will transition into Praise and Worship.

Friday, March 15:  Dodgeball & Adoration Night with Our Lady of Mt. Carmel 
St. Joan and Mount Carmel Youth Groups are teaming up for this awesome evening of fun and prayer.  All High School Youth are encouraged to join us at 6:30 pm at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School Gym.  There will be great dodgeball games and pizza, closing with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.  We ask each teen to bring $5 to cover the cost of the pizza.  Contact Andrew McCarthy at amccarthy@stjoanofarcva.org

Retreats / Camps:

Amazing Grace: A Retreat for High School Girls
WHO: 9th – 12th grade girls WHEN: May.17th – May. 18th WHERE: St. Joan of Arc
This retreat weekend is a “Peer Ministry” experience, led by a team of high school girls who have been formed into a strong and effective team to provide the main content on the weekend. The goal of this retreat is for participants to recognize how Christ’s Amazing Grace works in their everyday lives. The cost for the retreat is $60 and some scholarships may be available.

July 12th – 14th: Steubenville Youth Conference (Main Campus) Limited Spots Available!

We will be attending the Youth Conference at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio this year. The Steubenville Conference combines awesome talks, incredible music, praise and worship, time for prayer and fellowship, entertainment and liturgies. The experience will take place in Ohio at Franciscan University of Steubenville and is open to rising 9th-grade youth through recent graduates. Early Bird Registration is $200 and will end on April 15th. To register please contact Andrew McCarthy with a $50 deposit to lock in your spot (we can only take a small group of youth this year). This conference is open to all high school-aged youth, rising 9th graders through graduating 12th graders. Please contact Andrew McCarthy at amccarthy@stjoanofarcva.org if you have any questions. July 21st – 26th: Youth & Young Adult Mission Trip!

This summer Youth & Young Adult Ministries are sponsoring a Parish Mission Trip to Wise County, VA, July 21st – 16th. All generations of our community will come together to serve those in need. All rising 8th grade youth through graduating seniors are encouraged to join us for the powerful mission. Participants will also share in a retreat experience in the evenings. We are blessed to be hosted by two parishes, St. Anthony’s in Norton and Sacred Heart in Big Stone Gap. Andrew McCarthy at amccarthy@stjoanofarcva.org for more information.

Register by March 15th – $115 per person, by May 1st – $130 per person, by June 15th – $165 per person. Scholarships may be available upon request.
